Video Poker is a popular game that usually will be enjoyed in casinos all over the world, or alternatively at your house on your PC, using an Internet account. The game rules are absolutely straightforward and consist of the player trying to get the best assemblage of cards as you can in order to win money. The game of Electronic Poker starts when the enthusiast inserts credits (either tokens, credit slips or money) into the video poker machine and presses the draw button. A 5 card hand will then be electronically ‘distributed’ on the video screen.
The Video Poker game also has hold buttons, and players should now decide which cards to keep and which to throw away. For the cards the enthusiast wishes to keep, the ‘hold’ buttons need to be pressed so that they illuminate. The player can decide to keep any amount of cards they want, whether it is all or none.
After the bettor has selected which cards he or she would like to retain, the player will then press ‘deal’, which will mean that any new cards will be needed they will be dealt. The round is now finished, with the Electronic Poker machine scanning the hand to see if it is the same as any of the winning hands printed on the pay out schedule.
Normally, the lowest succeeding hand on an Electronic Poker machine is a pair of jacks with the award money increasing for each better hand. A list of common winning hands starts with jacks or better, and moves on to 2 pairs, three of a kinds, straights, flushes, full houses, four of a kinds, straight flushes and last but not least royal flushes. It should be known that the pay out schedule can change from machine to machine, so that knowledgeable gamblers are able to pick the most profitable ones each time.
Once the initial round has finished, the player can either decide to stay on and try to to increase their earnings, or press the ‘collect’ button to cash out any money that has been won. Further, several styles of the game allow the player an opportunity to increase their winnings, in which instance another round is played. There are also variations between specific machines, with some decks of cards having wild cards and other varying characteristics to increase playability.
